โ€”

Fantasy football points come from a scoring formula: typically 1 point per 25 passing yards, 4 per passing TD, 1 per 10 rushing or receiving yards, 6 per rushing or receiving TD, and โˆ’2 per interception or fumble lost. The formats differ only on receptions: Standard gives 0, Half-PPR 0.5, and full PPR 1 point per catch.

How to Use This Calculator

Enter a player's full stat line โ€” passing, rushing and receiving. Fields you don't need can stay at zero, so a running back's passing boxes just remain empty. The calculator returns the fantasy total in all three common formats side by side.

Seeing Standard, Half-PPR and full PPR together shows how much a player's value depends on the league format, which matters most for pass-catchers who rack up receptions.

How the Calculation Works

The calculator applies standard scoring: passing yards at one point per 25, passing touchdowns at four, and interceptions at minus two. Rushing and receiving yards score one point per ten, and those touchdowns are worth six. Fumbles lost are minus two.

The only difference between the formats is the point-per-reception (PPR) bonus. Standard awards nothing for a catch, Half-PPR gives half a point, and full PPR gives a full point, which is why the three totals differ for players who catch the ball.

1 pt / 25 pass yds ยท 4 / pass TD ยท 1 / 10 rush+rec yds ยท 6 / rush+rec TD ยท โˆ’2 / INT & fumble

Worked Example

Take a receiver with 6 catches, 85 receiving yards, 1 receiving TD and 20 rushing yards. The non-reception points are 85 รท 10 (8.5) + 6 (TD) + 20 รท 10 (2.0) = 16.5.

Standard adds nothing for catches, so 16.5. Half-PPR adds 6 ร— 0.5 = 3, for 19.5. Full PPR adds 6 ร— 1 = 6, for 22.5. Same game, three different scores.

Assumptions and Limitations

  • Uses the most common default scoring settings
  • Leagues vary โ€” some use 6-point passing TDs, bonuses or per-first-down points
  • Kicker and defense/special-teams scoring are not included
  • Check your league's exact settings for the definitive score

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the difference between PPR, Half-PPR and Standard?

Only the reception bonus. Full PPR gives 1 point per catch, Half-PPR gives 0.5, and Standard gives none. All other scoring โ€” yards and touchdowns โ€” is the same.

How are fantasy football points calculated?

Typically 1 point per 25 passing yards, 4 per passing TD, 1 per 10 rushing or receiving yards, 6 per rushing or receiving TD, and โˆ’2 per interception or fumble lost, plus any reception bonus.

How many points is a touchdown?

Rushing and receiving touchdowns are 6 points; passing touchdowns are usually 4 (some leagues use 6). This calculator uses 4-point passing TDs, the most common default.

Does this include kickers and defense?

No. It scores offensive skill-position stats. Kicker scoring (field goals and extra points) and team defense/special-teams scoring use separate rules.

Which format should I use?

Use whichever your league is set to. PPR rewards high-volume receivers, Standard favors touchdown-heavy backs, and Half-PPR sits in between. The tool shows all three so you can compare.
